Stupid Questions

Questions are one way of learning and seeking new things.

There is, universally, no such thing as a stupid question.
Although, subjectively, stupid questions are asked all the time.  (I’m a curious person – I’ve gotten my fair share of funny looks.  Trust)

Factors
1) The things you judge in others are things you judge in yourself (sometimes we’re not aware of what it is until we get an emotional response).
2) Embarrassment is a form of self-judgement.

Equation
When someone asks you a “stupid question” = you get embarrassed in behalf of the inquirer.

Conclusion
The answer to the stupid question is something you take pride in knowing…meaning, you are also, ironically, judging yourself with the matter in hand.

Confusion
No one knows everything… but we all have bits and pieces of it.

…and that is why I ask questions anyway.
If I get a laugh: great.
If I get an embarrassed face: I laugh out loud or I laugh inside.
If I get a straight up “Wtf are you stupid?”: every now and then I would say, “Yeah, sometimes.” (and give them 10 points)
If I get ostracized: I get annoyed
If I get a no-response: I get weirded out… usually later on though, I find out that it’s because the person finds me so ignorant that they’re so embarrassed they just completely lost all wits as to what to say to me. (50 POINTS FOR ME!)

===================

I’m allergic to wool, but I used to keep wearing it anyway.
At one point I had itchy red rashes all over my body and I couldn’t stop scratching.  I asked my friend, “If I’m allergic to wool, should I stop wearing it?”

Was THAT a stupid question?
